Dare to dream, dare to do! We've been dreaming for a long time with a space where our stories could flow because a film only reaches its ultimate goal when it finds its audience. Amazônia Play is our screening room focused on independent productions that have the history, environment and people of the Amazon as a theme. Here, a priority space for disseminating films, but also a meeting point for those who make them, welcome THE AMAZON THROUGH THE SEE OF ITS PEOPLE Due to covid-19, we have seen the consolidation of a trend, already born before the pandemic, which is the growth of consumption of audiovisual productions by streaming platforms. The world of cinema seems to have entered the internet channels once and for all, and thousands of foreign and national productions from the center-south are poured into viewers via connected TVs, tablets and cell phones. Cinema is now multi-person, accessed anytime and anywhere. However, it is important to note that more than an economic dispute, a cultural dispute persists in the constant effort of rich nations to maintain ideological control over other nations. In this game of ideas, identities and protagonisms, we, Amazonians, have to rise up. We need to present to ourselves and to the world our culture, history, art, talents and understanding of the universe in which we live. Producing and disseminating Amazonian cinema is our cultural right and also our duty to future generations. In recent years, the growth of the audiovisual movement in Pará and the Amazon in general has been noticeable. These are productions that emerge from the trunks and ravines in the most diverse formats and languages. With expressive or meager technological resources, shorts, features, documentaries, clips, works that leave the spheres of dreams to become reality are born and such productions need to have a locus on the network, in fact, several locus. If the dispute over physical movie theaters is a losing battle, since foreigners do not leave spaces for national production, on the internet our capacity to reach audiences is much greater and it is up to us to take advantage of the network facilities and the very boom of streaming created by the competition between large groups, to establish ourselves in these media and spread audiovisual products of Amazonian interests. Amazônia Play is an initiative to establish our locus on the network, our permanent window of exhibition, exchange of knowledge and promotion of new productions.

Mapuá Mission Assumption The history of Brazil will forever hover incomplete if the plots and sagas of the peoples of the Amazon in the colonial period are not recorded in it. (Paulo Miranda) Synopsis Mission Mapuá is a plot that takes place in the mid-18th century, at the mouth of the Amazon River. It is the meeting of Isabelle, a young remnant of the Breves family, with Boyrá, a young Mapuá warrior, who remain guardian of the lands that were formerly inhabited by its people. The meeting between these two characters will be the thread of the plot where we will seek to discuss the policy of Lusitanian occupation of the Amazon (Grão-Pará and Maranhão), the role of the Church and the strategies of indigenous resistance. The two characters move through quests and memories. Isabelle longs to find Catarina, her sister, who in recent times was taken to live with the Mapuá. Boyrá will do everything so that not even a white stay in the sacred Mapuá land, but he will find himself in conflict as he feels reciprocal empathy for Isabelle. Token Original title MAPUÁ MISSION Genres drama , adventure drama Original language Portuguese Subtitles Portuguese, English, Spanish, French Duration 107 minutes Script and Direction Paulo Miranda Cast (in alphabetical order) Cleber Ramos (Osório) Daiane Oliveira (Maria José/Ibotira) Eduardo Paiva (Cauã) Ivanildo do Socorro (Ancestor) Ingrede Carvalho (Catherine) João Poça (Father Tiago) Larissa Lira (Double) Laurene Ataide (Ancestor) Lucinha Baia (Isabelle) Maria Josivania (Dona Joana) Mario Monteiro (Mercenary) Mileyde Gilvana (Boyrá) Paulo Sousa (Captain) Raquel Xipaya (Inaiê) Regis Costa (Gibbon) Rony Brito (Governor) Tiago Assis (Father André) Art direction Alexandre Costa Direction of Photography Silvagner Grigório Year of manufacture 2021 Parents Brazil Production Lux Amazônia Cinematographic Productions Distribution luxamazonia@gmail.com Click e faça sua doação Nós já assistimos o Missão Mapuá CONFIRA NO BLOG Escola Municipal Vilma de Nazaré Mendes Limoeiro do Ajuru - PA Em breve
